After a change in u/s dates, my due date is set at June 11th, which currently makes me 38 weeks and 5 days today.

At my 37-week appointment, my OB was concerned that Baby wasn't head down as she couldn't feel/find Baby's head via palpation. After deciding to do a quick ultrasound she discovered that baby is in fact head down, in perfect position and incredibly low (surprise surprise). So low in fact that she couldn't tell how effaced/dilated I was because Baby's head was in the way.

At my 38-week appointment I was 4cm and 50%.

I delivered my first son at 39 weeks (exactly) and my 2nd son at 38 weeks (exactly)…so it will be interesting to see when this Baby makes his or her appearance.

Week number: 38 weeks 5 days!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Oh yes!

Gender: Just a matter of days till we know. :)

Movement: Still quite a few rolls and wiggles, but less kicks as Baby runs out of room.

Sleep: Sleeping much better.

What I miss + cravings: I've actually had a few bouts of nausea so each day differs as to what I crave. I'm still loving kale chips though!

Difference between this pregnancy and previous pregnancies: Baby is positioned more to the side than I remember.

What I'm thankful for: A healthy, happy baby.

Pregnancy symptoms: Some nausea and lots of bathroom trips

Changes I've noticed: Itchy skin!

Milestones: Being full-term.

What I'm looking forward to: Finding out if it's a boy or girl.

Labor signs: At my last appointment I was only 4cm and 50% effaced. However, I lost my mucous plug at 38 weeks, 3 days so I can tell things are happening!

I am, however, super bummed because I found out last week that I'm GBS+ again, which means that I will have to be "induced" (breaking my b. of w.) before I go into labor. With my two previous babies I was GBS+ and since you have to receive 4 hours of antibiotics with GBS and my labors are shorter than 4 hours, I always go to the hospital to have my labor "naturally" kick-started so that the risk of infecting the babies is way low. Since I am big into natural, drug-free births, it is a little hard to not just let labor "happen" when it's time. I'm trying not to be discouraged about it though because a healthy baby and healthy mummy is what is most important! :)
